Biography

Timothy G. Campbell, PhD became the Vice President of Academic Affairs at Midway University in April 2023. Throughout his previous 15 years in academic leadership, he worked closely with faculty, deans, and senior administration to advance curricular growth and academic initiatives. By maximizing institutional and external resources, he specifically shaped efforts in academic reputation, program development, faculty advancement across career stages, interdepartmental collaboration, and undergraduate research and creative activities.

Dr. Campbell models a deep faculty commitment to learning, which entails, at its heart, asking penetrating questions, cultivating intellectual curiosity, and shaping human practices central to living in a globally interconnected world. His approach is informed by a thorough understanding of university market positioning and the production of academic space and culture.

Dr. Campbell holds a PhD in Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education from Michigan State University, where he focused on organizational communication and change development. He is interested in the research-teaching nexus and on factors affecting the work cultures of complex knowledge and creative communities.
