Biography

Dr. Carlos Linares joined the Midway University faculty in 2018 (officially in August 2019) as an Assistant Professor after nearly six years on the graduate faculty at Sullivan University. Since coming to Midway University, he has served in the School of Business, Equine, and Sport Management. He currently teaches students how to manage people in organizations, the ways to compensate them, the multiple forms of training employees, and the components of strategic management and Human Resources. Dr. Linares has developed several courses in the HR field.

His research interest lies in the area of diversity and inclusion of Latinos and Human Resources initiatives.

Carlos has participated in multiple conferences and wrote several papers published in the Society of Advanced Management.

Carlos lives with his wife, Ana Maria, a nursing researcher, and his 4-year old chocolate lab Hiro. When he is not working, he loves to travel, read, and watch sports, especially basketball and soccer (he does not understand anything about football).
